Volux XC is injected into the jawline using an ultra-fine needle. In addition to hyaluronic acid, the clear gel filler contains a small amount of lidocaine to prevent any discomfort during treatment. The volume provided by the newest addition to the Juvederm collection increases the contour and structure of the lower face. The result is a natural-looking, more defined jawline.

Juvederm Volux XC is also effective for jowl reduction. Lax or sagging jowls are often the result of aging. Meant only for the treatment of individuals aged 21 years or older, Volux XC can reduce this by creating a smooth contour along the jawline, giving your face a more youthful appearance.
What to Expect
The treatment time for this jawline-defining treatment varies depending on the amount of Volux XC require to achieve the desired results. This is determined by your provider during your initial consultation. On average, treatment time is approximately 30 minutes.
There could be a few days of social downtime. You may experience minor swelling and redness at or surrounding the injection site, very similar to other Juvederm fillers. Ice is recommended to alleviate this which will dissipate throughout the day. Many individuals return to work or other normal activities immediately following treatment.
How Long Do the Results Last?
Jawline definition and jowl reduction results created by Juvedern Volux XC are not permanent. However, clinical studies have shown that on average, results lasted approximately one year. Results varied depending on the individual and in some cases, a touch-up treatment was necessary to achieve the desired improvement. If necessary, touch-up injections are typically administered one month after the initial treatment.
