EMSculpt – Build Muscle Without Breaking a Sweat

Have you worked hard to achieve your ideal weight, but still don’t have the sculpted physique you hoped to achieve? Losing the weight may be the toughest part of the battle but gaining muscle tone is the finishing touch. Not everyone is good at working out. Even those who are diligent about their exercise routine can sometimes need a little help. If all your efforts haven’t produced your desired results, it might be time to consider EMSculpt.

What is EMSculpt?

EMSculpt is a non-surgical and minimally-invasive procedure that can help both men and women build muscle and sculpt their body. This FDA-approved procedure is used to improve abdominal tone, strengthen abdominal muscles and develop a firmer abdomen. It is also effective for the strengthening, toning and firming of the buttocks.

How Does EMSculpt Work?

This revolutionary treatment uses non-invasive HIFEM® or High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology to simulate muscle contractions that are more powerful than voluntary contractions. The muscles respond with a deep remodeling of their inner structure. This results in the building of muscle and ultimately body sculpting. The HIFEM® technology stimulates contractions equivalent to doing 20,000 crunches or squats in just 30 minutes while you lay back and relax.

EMSculpt not only helps to build and strengthen muscles, but it also reduces the layer of excess fat covering them. As a result of the stimulation, the muscles trigger fat cells in the area to break down and release their contents as free fatty acids. The fat cells are overwhelmed by this barrage of fatty acids, causing them to malfunction and die. They are then metabolized by the body and eliminated. The result of this increase in muscle and reduction in fat is a well toned and contoured physique.

Sounds too good to be true, right? While the FDA only requires one study to prove efficacy and safety, EMSculpt has been proven in 7 different clinical studies. In addition, the manufacturer delayed the release of this technology to ensure every patient would experience positive, long-lasting results.

What to Expect

The EMSculpt procedure feels like an intense workout without the physical activity. While you may experience slight discomfort due to the powerful muscle contraction, the procedure is pain-free.

Treatment of the abdominal area lasts 30 minutes. It begins with milder muscle contractions, about 100 per second, then builds in intensity. The contractions decrease toward the end of the treatment to only about 10 per second. This phase of the treatment is designed to flush out any toxins or lactic acid released by the overexerted muscles.

Treatment of the buttocks is somewhat different as it is designed to build the gluteal muscles to a round, pert effect without destroying any of the shape-enhancing fat in the area. Just one EMSculpt treatment is equivalent to 20,000 squats, well known as the most effective exercise for firmer, well-toned buttocks.

The EMSculpt procedure typically requires four treatments with a few days between each. Tangible results are evident almost immediately and complete results within 2 to 4 weeks after the final treatment. There is no downtime with either treatment, but you may experience sore muscles much as you would after a workout. To maintain results, a healthy, active lifestyle is recommended. While this may involve some effort and yes, a little bit of sweat, you are starting from a point that could have taken 6 months or more to achieve in just a few short weeks.

Is EMSculpt Right for You?

The ideal EMSculpt candidate is someone already at or near their ideal weight looking to tone and sculpt their body. The procedure has also shown to be effective for new moms or others struggling with isolated stubborn belly fat. Because EMSculpt can help target muscles in a way exercise alone can’t, new moms have reportedly used the procedure to kick-start their weight-loss and fitness regimen.

EMSculpt should not be used by those with metal or electronics such as pacemakers inside their bodies. Metal could become overheated and electronics could short-circuit. EMSculpt is also not considered safe for use during pregnancy.
